Toni Trollope BVSc.
Toni started her veterinary career in 1990 in small animal practice in the northern suburbs of Sydney and then moved to Central Queensland a year later due to a burning desire to do mixed practice (cattle and horses as well as domestic animals). After 2 years in the rolling hills around Biloela she moved overseas to the UK to travel and work.
The stint overseas came to an end in 1994 and then Toni moved back to Australia to work in Byron Bay for 10 months before finally moving to Toowoomba in 1995. After 3 years at a local vet surgery and then 10 months of locum work in Toowomba and the surrounding area she finally realised her dream of owning her own vet surgery and Eclipse Park Veterinary Surgery was opened in October 1999.
The last 15 years have been spent establishing and improving the veterinary surgery whilst getting married and having a family. She is married to Paul and has 3 children, 4 dogs, 2 cats, chooks, aviary birds, goldfish and a horse, all of which have been rescued (apart from the goldfish). She also owns the 3 cats at the vet surgery that you may see trotting around from time to time when you visit. Toni is passionate about animal welfare both domestic and wild. She enjoys reading, horse riding (although hasn’t been doing this too much recently), state of origin, tennis (playing and watching), camping and would like to do more travelling in the future.
Her long term vision is to provide excellent customer service and improve the facilities at Eclipse Park to ensure the welfare needs of the pets and people of Highfields and surrounds is available into the future.

Sarah
Veterinarian
Sarah began working at Eclipse Park Veterinary Surgery in February 2017. She graduated from the University of Queensland in 2016, and was always keen to work in small animal practice.
She grew up in Brisbane, and from a young age was very passionate about animals and always wanted to become a vet. During vet school, she worked for two and a half years doing weekend nursing at a small animal practice in Brisbane. This was of great benefit to her studies, as could apply the theory learnt to practical situations in the clinic. She thoroughly enjoys the clinical workplace and being part of a friendly team environment.
Sarah has two very gorgeous Cavaliers at home, named Beau and Lola. She loves travelling and seeing new places, and plans to do a lot more of this in the future.

Anita Mairs
Veterinary Nurse
My name is Anita Mairs and I have been a practising vet nurse on and off for the last 30 years. I have been at Eclipse Park Vet Surgery for the last 14 years as a vet nurse and receptionist. My love of animals goes back a long way, as I come from a family who have always had a few cats, a couple of dogs, a horse or two, lots of birds ,some ducks and the list goes on. I have always hated to see animals suffering and I get great satisfaction when I know that we can help an animal recover and return home.
When I’m not at work I enjoy reading, playing with my pair of “mad dogs” and I love to go camping. I have a huge garden which takes up a lot of my time and have recently started growing my own vegetables. I am not an indoor person and will always choose to be outdoors rather than indoors. My children all call me the cat lady as I have 4 cats. I guess it’s the way I mother them… apparently I mother them more than my own children.

Jane Sharp
I’ve been working at Eclipse Park Vet Surgery since November 2007. I completed my Certificate II in Veterinary Nursing in the first year and have gone on to study Certificate IV in Veterinary Nurse. My most recent course I have taken on is a Diploma of Management
As a first birthday presents my parents rescued a stray dump cat called George. So from a very young age I knew I wanted to work with animals. At 15 I started to volunteer at the RSPCA and later became an employed Animal Attendant. I was fortunate enough to be offered a job at Eclipse Park and have enjoyed working here ever since.
A big part of my life these days is my family. I have a wonderful husband, Stuart and 3 beautiful daughters. We also have a very tolerant Golden Retriever, Sasha, and 2 cats, Charlie a Ragdoll, and Misty, a Domestic Shorthair Cats.
